Chad appeared on Broadway in the Stephen Sondheim (Tony, Oscar, Emmy, Grammy)/James Lapine (Tony Pulitzer Prize) "Into the Woods" as Milky White the Cow, for which he was named one of "the 100 Most Creative People in Entertainment" for Entertainment Weekly's "Must List". The show won the Tony Award for best Musical Revival. In 2005 he appeared as "the heart" of John Lennon in the Broadway musical "Lennon". Other Broadway includes "The Civil War" and Good Vibrations".

Chad's Off-Broadway credits include the acclaimed 2001 revival of the Stephen Schwartz musical "Godspell" for which he recorded the revival album on the Fynsworth Alley label. The production was stocked with now Broadway veterans Shoshana Bean, Barrett Foa, Capathia Jenkins and Eliseo Roman, among others. He played Marcel Proust in tandem with Tony Award winner Brent Carver along with Tony Nominee Kelli O'hara in Playwrights Horizon's "My Life with Albertine". The Musical by Ricky Ian Gordon and Richard Nelson ("Goodnight Children, Everywhere"), christened Playwright's multi million dollar complex on 42nd street. The week of 9/11, Chad began rehearsing "Bat Boy, The Musical", joining the cast to fill the shoes of Tony Nominee Gavin Creel. The subsequent terror attack in lower Manhattan shuttered productions across the city. "Batboy" held it's own, but succumbed to the drop in New York City tourism.

Regionally, he played "Antony", the loverlorn sailor in Stephen Sondheim's "Sweeney Todd" at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA, under the direction of Eric Schaeffer. Chad played "Danny" opposite Moeshia McGill in the 2004 revival of "Baby" at The Papermill Playhouse in Millburn, New Jersey along with Tony Winners Michael Rupert, LaChanze, and other Broadway veterans Lenny Wolpe, Norm Lewis and Carolee Carmello.

Chad performed his one man cabaret as part of Broadway.com's "Broadway Spotlight Series" at Ars Nova (under the direction of Gordon Greenberg) for which he received a Backstage Bistro Award for Best Cabaret Debut. He remounted his award winning cabaret at the eminent cabaret club, "Joe's Pub" at the Public Theatre.

Chad replaced Malcolm Goetz as the randy leprechaun "Og" in "Finian's Rainbow", Irish Repertory's esteemed revival. The production also starred the venerable Jonathan Freeman and powerhouse Kerry O'Malley. In late 2005 he headed a cast of 20 under the direction of Tony Award Winner Richard Maltby Jr. in Janet Brenner's "The 60's Project", the story of that turbulent decade told through the popular music of the time.

In 2007 Chad joined Tony Winners Alice Ripley and Gregory Jbara in Michael John LaChiusa's "Little Fish" for which he recorded the album. Kirsten Sanderson's lauded reimagining of the musical was mounted at the Blank Theatre in Los Angeles. While in Los Angeles, he founded (along with his brother Todd) the clothing company "Obvious Clothing". After one year, their "elegantly edgy", high end, graphic tee line had accounts with over 150 stores nationwide, and is now sold at Bloomingdlaes, Macy's, Nordstrom, Von Maur and trend setting boutiques Fred Segal Melrose, Barney's Japan and M. Frederic, among others.

Chad has been featured in some of the nation's most prestigious magazines and newspapers, including The New York Times, Newsweek, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Post, LA Confidential, The San Francisco Chronicle and more. He is a regular performer for the breakthrough upstart "Upright Cabaret" in Los angeles, has played in over 20 national commercials and has been seen on several episodes of Fox's "1/2 Hour News Hour" produced by Joel Surnow, the Creator/Producer of the Keifer Sutherland vehicle "24".

"Memphis, A New Musical" - directed by Tony Nominee Christopher Ashley and choreographed by Tony Winner Sergio Trujillo, with an original score by Bon Jovi founding member David Bryan, and an original book by Joe DiPietro, who penned the long running Off-Broadway smash hit "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" - has played two out of town tryouts: the first at La Jolla Playhouse followed by a production at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre in Chad's hometown. He has won several awards for his portrayal of "Huey Calhoun", an eccentric white DJ in 1950's Memphis who dares play rhythm and blues on the "white" radio.

"Memphis" opens October 19, 2009 at the Shubert Theatre in the heart of Broadway.
